I suppose I should post a link to a web site I recently put together as a volunteer. The Arc of Utah needed to be able to edit their pages easily, so I set up Plone and a simple design. It's now running at http://arcutah.org. The recipients (particularly my dad, the executive director) are pleased, so I guess it was worth the hour or so I spent setting up Plone, followed by 25 hours agonizing over colors, graphics, and layout.

It might seem strange that while I can write a lot of reasonably good code in a day, making a simple graphic or web page layout usually takes a week. Actually, even I think that's strange. How does a brain get wired that way?

By the way, WestHost is excellent and inexpensive--perfect for nonprofits.
