Tina :: Life :: August 23, 2004 # Family Letter

The main family event that happened is our move back to Utah. We now have space to grow. We love being close to family and are able to visit our parents at least once a week if we want. The kids love visiting there grandparents.

Shane-He is now working for the church. He has been working on computer software for the geneology department. It has been wonderful to have him close at hand. He often comes home for lunch. I see him a lot more than I use to. He is also able to help out a little more around the house when he isn't busy doing consulting work for Zope Corp. his previous employer.

Kristina-I have been busy with our two children. I have been working on setting up our new home. I have been trying to improve my sewing skills as well. I have to sew while the kids are in bed asleep. I have tried to do it while they are awake and it is too hectic. I have enjoyed making nice dinners for the family and subscribe to a cooking magazine. So now they get pretty dinners once in a while, which look fancy but don't take too much time to make. I hope to put in an official garden next year for now I am gardening in my flower beds. I have tomatoes and peas. The peas are still growing and seem to be doing well. I lost my zucchini early off in the season so we didn't get too many. I also was able to go fishing recently thanks to Shane who bought me a fishing pole for my birthday. I went river fishing for the first time and caught a fish right off. That was the one and only fish that trip.

Esther-She has been growing a lot and learning new things. She has gotten better at speaking and picks up new words. She can say sentences fairly well and is now trying to master expressing herself. Her favorite question is "What are you doing?"

Tanner-He is also growing I have to go buy him new clothes all the time. In fact this winter I went to buy him winter clothing when it started to get cold. I bought him a size bigger than he was wearing by the time winter set in and he needed to wear the warmer clothing all the time it was too small for him. I was fortunate that a neighbor gave me some of her sons old clothes, they were just the right size for him.
